Caroline is our favorite red raspberry because it is large, conical, flavorful and sweet red raspberry. It is more disease-resistant and with larger, earlier fruits than most everbearing varieties.

Caroline ripens late-July until frost and responds to warmer temperatures and ripens earlier farther south. Several plants are usually planted 18-36” apart in rows 5' wide. One plant, space in the middle of a 5' circle of well prepared garden soil.

Sun: Full sun to part shade

Soil: Prefers slightly acidic, sandy loam soils that have good drainage.

Water: Average water needs.

Zones: 5 to 9.

Height/Spread: Canes average 4' to 6' tall and wide.
