Cucumber varieties: Marketmore Slicer. Suyo Japanese Slicer (sweet skin). Armenian (can get 3’ long). Lemon cucumber (back-ordered until the first week of June).

Sun:  Cucumbers grow best in full sun, where they can get at least 8 hours of direct sunlight each day. If not in enough sunlight, they are more likely to have a reduced fruit set and lower yield.

Soil: Cucumbers do best in loose sandy loam soil, they can be grown in any well-drained soil.

Water: Give cucumbers an inch of water every week.

Zones:  4 to 12

Height/Spread: If left to sprawl on the ground, cucumbers can spread to about 9 square feet.
