Sun: All types of strawberries like full sun. Give at least six hours each day of direct sunlight. 

Soil: Strawberries need rich soil with lots of organic matter and a slightly acidic pH (between 5.5 and 6.5).

Water: Strawberry plants need regular water, especially when fruit-bearing. They will need an average of 1-2 inches of water per day.

Zones: Strawberries can be grown as perennials in zones 5-8 or as cool-season annuals in 9-10. 

Height/Spread: Strawberry plants usually reach heights of 14 to 16 inches and need about 30 to 36 inches between them.
